Cottingley Heritage Centre is open on the 2nd Saturday of each month from April to September at Cottingley Town Hall from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon. Free admission.
Dates for 2024: 13th April, 11th May, 8th June, 13th July, 10th August and 14th September.
The Heritage Centre at Cottingley Town Hall is host to a multitude of documents, photographs, maps, plans, newspaper articles and much more connected to the history of Cottingley village and parish. One of the most significant collections recently acquired relates to Charles Henry Priestley and family who resided at Cottingley Hall from 1887 to 1911. This includes many original documents relating to the life of the elder son, John Gillies Priestley.
Only a small selection of photographs and documents can be on display at any given time. Below are listed the various categories of items which are stored in bookcases or filing cabinets and which can be inspected on request.
